About
My journey
I live in Los Angeles, and went to school for Illustration and Graphic Arts. I loved painting and drawing in all media. I started my career in comics in 1993 at Malibu Comics in their coloring department. Coloring Malibu titles such as Prototype, Mantra, Sludge, StarTrek: Deep Space 9., Firearm, Mortal Kombat, Strangers. Then Marvel titles through the mid nineties.
Following that, peaking my interest were the devices which create a reaction to what you are looking at. Visual appeal, style, flow, color for emotional tone and attracting the eye. I enjoyed diving into color correction, photo editing and Art Direction. I really enjoyed studying the emotional play of a photo and looking for the perfect balance of light and subject. I had a long career in publishing in the 2000’s creating magazines. I got back into comics during the Pandemic. I had an opportunity to work with some colleagues in an Indie comic publisher, Silverline Comics. I am currently enjoying coloring Silverline titles and hope you check out the portfolio links. Keep checking back to see new works as I add to them here.
Thank you for reading.
